Good day students, parents, and faculty and welcome to the 2020 Senior Awards for Evans High; where our focus is on literacy, rigor, and relationships and our school pillars of pride, determination, and perseverance are on display daily by our students, faculty, and staff. It is such an honor to be the principal at Evans High, home of the Trojans!

To the class of 2020, I am so proud of you. The experiences you have had these past 4 years and specifically these past 3 months have shaped you to have an unparalleled desire to perseverance against unforeseen circumstances beyond your control. The pride and determination you have demonstrated this year convinces me that this class has an auspicious future.

This virtual senior awards presentation provides an opportunity for your parents, your fellow classmates, faculty, and community members a chance to celebrate all that you have accomplished and to thank everyone that helped you along the way.

​

All of you have experienced some level of success in academics, the arts, athletics, and service to the community. This is what makes our Trojan family so strong. These experiences have set you up for success in the future regardless of what path you take. It is your job to maximize your strengths and make this world a better place. Get involved and serve others – get out of your comfort zone. Remember, there are no shortcuts in life – go the extra mile. It is my hope and prayer that you will have the courage and wisdom to make a difference in this world.

I would be remise not to acknowledge our financial supports, scholarship donors for providing ancillary services to the class of 2020. Thank you for your unwavering support as this year more than any other, financial contributions take on a deeper commitment and meaning from you and our Evans Trojans. Thank you to our parents, for entrusting our Evans faculty and staff with the opportunity to shape and support your students over the years. A special thank you for our amazing staff for their partnership and support, especially Mrs. Benefiel, Dr. Mitchell, Mr. King, and Assistant Principal Kreider for their work on this publication.
